Abhorrent; we were taught that this means....bad enough to make God feel like he should throw up. I can't think of a better way to describe the people in this video. I wrestled with how to post this so that people could see that THIS is NOT hunting and these are NOT sportsmen. If you are a hunter, please watch and listen. If you think this is how hunters are...watch and know that you are
wrong. It's not the images that are in the video that are the problem. It's the idea that some think this is ok and pay a lot of money for it. If I or anyone that I know had the opportunity to help end this, they would jump at the chance....this is me jumping. I am a lifelong hunter and this bothered me....

if you think you shouldn't watch it, please don't.

Monster Fish, Flying Carp

July 24, watch it. This is the most intelligent documentary Ive seen yet. The Asian Carp are thriving in the Illinois River (maybe the dirtiest of the Miss system) and they are starving, not growing or multiplying as fast in the Missouri river. They found Paddle Fish in the same places as the Asian Carp. Paddle Fis...h are in direct compitition for food and have not been whiped out. Also they say that in China the Carp are over fished. So it is possible to lower their numbers. My argument has always been that they will not thrive in Lake Michigan and this show confirms that. Just not in so many words.

A School Nurse has written the info below -- good enough
to share -- And it really works!

"I had a pediatrician tell me what she believes is the best
way to remove a tick. This is great, because it works in
those places where it's some times difficult to get to with
tweezers: between toes, in the middle of a head full of dark
hair, etc."

"Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick
with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few
seconds (15-20), the tick will come out on its own and be
stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away. This
technique has worked every time I've used it (and that
was frequently, and it's much less traumatic for the
patient and easier for me."

"Unless someone is allergic to soap, I can't see that this
would be damaging in any way. I even had my doctor's
wife call me for advice because she had one stuck to her
back and she couldn't reach it with tweezers. She used
this method and immediately called me back to say,
"It worked!"

Please pass on. Everyone needs this helpful hint.

Here's a picture of the new world record whitetail. It was taken by the cousin of a co-worker's sister's, uncle's, best friend's, son-in-law's cousin. Reportedly it will score 2603-1/8 by B&C standard and was shot in West Texas on a really windy day around a curve. Supposedly, this deer had killed a Brahma bull, two Land Rovers and six Jehovah's Witnesses in the last two weeks alone. They said it was winning a fight with Bigfoot when it was shot

Family on holiday in Australia for a week and a half when husband, wife and their 15 year old son decided to go scuba diving. The husband is in the navy and has had some scuba experience. His son wanted a picture of his mum and dad in all their gear so he got the under water camera ready to go. When it came to taking the picture the dad realized that the son looked like he was panicking as he took it and gave the 'OK' hand sign to see if he was all right.

The son took the picture and swam to the surface and back to the boat as quick as he could so the mum and dad followed to see if he was OK. When they got back to him he was scrambling onto the boat and absolutely panicking. When the parents asked why he said 'there was a shark behind you. The dad thought he was joking but the skipper of the boat said it was true but they wouldn't believe him. As soon as they got back to the hotel they loaded the picture onto the laptop and this is what they saw. Would you have stayed to take the picture??

Maybe what saved them there was that the shark wasn't hungry, they were in the water not on the surface, and there was no fear coming from them - only because they were not aware. Probably better that the kid didn't point for them to look behind them.

But for Don Wales, the driver who intends to break the current lawn-mower land-speed record of 130 kilometers per hour (80.8 miles per hour) this month, he who cuts fastest wins. Wales ’s machine, dubbed Project Runningblade, will make the high-speed dash on sand but must then prove capable of actually cutting grass. For the past three years, a team of automotive engineers has been fine-tuning the mower’s power train so it can deliver the burst of speed needed to cover the 1-mile course in less than 36 seconds. New National Ocean Policy May Close Marine and Fresh Waters to Fishing Sooner Than You Think
Urge the President to not fast track a process that could have major effects on recreational fishing

Last fall, President Obama's Interagency Ocean Policy Task Force released its Interim Report regarding a new national ocean and Great Lakes policy. The Task Force, led by the Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), is charged with developing a national policy for conserving and managing the United States ocean, coastal and Great Lakes resources.

Not only did the Interim Report ignore responsibly regulated recreational fishing as a key activity, but decisions made under this national policy could be used to unnecessarily close areas of saltwater and freshwater to recreational fishing. We have yet to see if the final report recognizes recreational fishing and balances sustainable uses with resource conservation.

Despite the complexity of establishing a national policy - and that the Task Force has yet to release its final recommendations - pressure is being placed on the President to short-circuit the process and get new policies in place through an executive order. An executive order would bypass the necessary oversight, including Congressional review, that such an important and complex policy deserves. Please act now to protect your access to recreational fishing opportunities.

Deer Loses Head-Butt Battle with Wisconsin Lawn Ornament

A seven-point buck lost a fight with a 640-pound concrete elk lawn ornament in the backyard of Mark and Carol Brye's home in Viroqua , Wis. last week. The buck was apparently sparring with the lawn ornament. Mark Brye, 58, couldn’t help but laugh about the unusual incident, the La Crosse Tribune reports. "Our son and daughter gave it to us for Christmas four years ago because we like to hunt elk," Brye told the Tribune. "The elk is a nice thing to see every morning. It looks pretty cool, especially on a foggy morning."

Brye said he knew exactly what happened when he saw the elk tipped over on its side, but wasn’t expecting to find the buck’s carcass lying about 20 yards away. The deer shattered its skull.

Brye claimed the deer using a deer tag issued by a Vernon County conservation warden. The warden's tag note read: "lawn ornament fight — lost."

He took the deer to a butcher and now has a freezer full of venison

Only in Nordern Minnesnowta! ......This guy raised an abandoned moose calf with his Horses, and believe it or not, he has trained it for lumber removal and other hauling tasks. Given the 2,000 pounds of robust muscle, and the splayed, grippy hooves, he claims it is the best work animal he has. He says the secret to keeping the moose around is a sweet salt lick, although, during the rut he disappears for a couple of weeks, but always comes home....Impressive !!
